New Product: Cambium e425H wall plate wireless access point

Complimenting the existing e430H wall plate access point, Cambium have introduced the lower-priced e425H where higher densities and less features are required.

Like all Cambium products, the new e425H can be managed by cnMaestro either in the cloud, in a data centre or on premises.

The e425 has a similar design to the e430H with slight differences on the back. A single-gang junction box bracket will be included with double-gang and a flush wall mount box available as accessories.

The e425H fits into the Cambium portfolio as a micro-cell wall plate access point designed for one AP per room and other high-density micro-cell applications. Service providers that engage the hospitality, apartment MDU, or higher education dormitory housing markets will appreciate the quick installation, hide-in-plain-sight design, and outstanding RF performance. Additionally, the e425H includes three Gigabit Ethernet ports, where one port can function as a PoE-out port. This extra capability is unique among competitive high-density micro-cell wall plate access points. When comparing the e425H to other wall plate access points, take note of the unique features: PoE-out port, 2x to 6x more RF power, Enterprise RF-aware technology.

The key differences are the e425H only has 3 x GbE ports, no BLE radio, slightly less transmit power, no passthrough port, no application visibility, no Deep Packet Inspection and cannot be used with the desktop stand. If any of these features are required then use the e430H.
