As we approach the end of 2019, it’s time to issue a reminder that between Monday the 16th of December 2019 and Sunday the 12th of January 2020, there is an embargo on all network changes so only essential maintenance will be done – no Moves Adds or Changes and no Local Number Porting. Due to the changes required by NBN and the ISDN shutdown, Telstra are swamped with Local Number Porting requests so any requests made now will be getting dates in February. Porting from other carriers is generally a lot quicker.
If you are planning on moving your business over the break the if the orders have not been placed now then the new circuits are unlikely to be available. Temporary service for Internet and lines can probably be arranged however.
