What's new from Avaya?
Release 8.0 of the multi award winning IP Office telephone system is now available.
Release 8.0 offers a new Basic Edition limited to 64 lines and 100 digital or analogue extensions which will be more than sufficient for most small businesses. Essential, Preferred and Advanced are still options for increased functionality.
Release 8.0 will allow the use of the new C110 Unified Communications Processor when released in early 2012. This puts a lite version of Voicemail Pro and One-X Portal server in the IP Office itself avoiding the need for an external server on smaller installations with the added complications of locating, powering, cooling, licensing and maintaining a separate server.
The C110 UC Processor comes with 4 voicemail ports initially and can be licensed up to 20 ports. Up to 50 one-X portal users are also supported. Up to 430 hours of recordings can be stored.

ICS Technologies are resellers for the i-Serv DECT cordless phone system.
The system is IP based using G.711, G.722 wideband or optionally G.729 codecs.
- Up to 30 phones can be registered per base station or up to 200 phones across 40 base stations.
- Up to 10 concurrent calls per base station and seamless handover.
- Up to 10 SIP accounts.
- Power over Ethernet to simplify installation.
Ideally suited to large business premises like hardware stores, car sales yards and retail stores they are priced to make them viable for a domestic installation too.
They can also be added to the Epygi Quadro phone systems to make for a cordless office system.
