The increasing power of Network Attached Storage

With the release of the new 1.8GHz Intel Atom processors, Synology and QNAP (along with other manufacturers) have taken the opportunity to freshen their Network Attached Storage products.

Synology have released their Disk Station 1511+, a 5 drive device with a maximum capacity of 15TB using the latest 3TB drives - one of the few devices available that supports 3TB drive. The DS1511+ is a CNET Editors Award Winner .

QNAP have released 2 new ranges; the budget TS-x12 in 1, 2 and 4 drive models and the business class TS-x59Pro+ in 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 drive models.

Both Synology and QNAP NAS devices are available from ICS Technologies in Brisbane, Australia.
